چکیده

The aim of this paper is to provide a viable measure–theoretic framework for the study of random phenomena involving a large number of economic entities. The work is based on the fact that processes which are measurable with respect to hyperfinite Loeb product spaces capture the limiting behaviors of triangular arrays of random variables and thus constitute the ‘right’ class for general stochastic modeling. The primary concern of the paper is to characterize those hyperfinite processes satisfying the exact law of large numbers by using the basic notions of conditional expectation, orthogonality, uncorrelatedness and independence together with some unifying multiplicative properties of random variables. The general structure of the processes is also analyzed via a biorthogonal expansion of the Karhunen–Loeve type and via the representation in terms of the simpler ́ hyperfinite Loeb counting spaces. A universality property for atomless Loeb product spaces is formulated to show the abundance of processes satisfying the law. Generalizations to a Ž . hyperfinite number of continuous or discrete parameter stochastic processes are considered. The various necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of the law provide a rather complete understanding about the cancelation of individual risks or uncertainty in 1 Some of the results were presented at the 23rd Conference on Stochastic Processes and Their Applications of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability in June 1995. Enhancement of Robust Tracking Performance via Switching Supervisory Adaptive Control

When the process is highly uncertain, even linear minimum phase systems must sacrifice desirable feedback control benefits to avoid an excessive ‘cost of feedback’, while preserving the robust stability. In this paper, the problem of supervisory based switching Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) control is proposed for the control of highly uncertain plants. According to this strategy, the unce...

Considering a Model for Sustainable Energy Planning Under Uncertainty

In this paper, real options theory is utilized to evaluate the effect of uncertain electricity and CO2 costs on speculation conduct. Methodologically, the allegiance of the newspaper in this appreciation is that uncertainty is not just stopped down as far as stochastic processes and their fluctuation, additionally as far as expected and acknowledged procedures, i.e. the procedures, w...

A PRELUDE TO THE THEORY OF RANDOM WALKS IN RANDOM ENVIRONMENTS

A random walk on a lattice is one of the most fundamental models in probability theory. When the random walk is inhomogenous and its inhomogeniety comes from an ergodic stationary process, the walk is called a random walk in a random environment (RWRE). The basic questions such as the law of large numbers (LLN), the central limit theorem (CLT), and the large deviation principle (LDP) are ...

Hyperfinite Lévy Processes

A hyperfinite Lévy process is an infinitesimal random walk (in the sense of nonstandard analysis) which with probability one is finite for all finite times. We develop the basic theory for hyperfinite Lévy processes and find a characterization in terms of transition probabilities. The standard part of a hyperfinite Lévy process is a (standard) Lévy process, and we show that given a generating t...

Uncertainty Modeling of a Group Tourism Recommendation System Based on Pearson Similarity Criteria, Bayesian Network and Self-Organizing Map Clustering Algorithm

Group tourism is one of the most important tasks in tourist recommender systems. These systems, despite of the potential contradictions among the group's tastes, seek to provide joint suggestions to all members of the group, and propose recommendations that would allow the satisfaction of a group of users rather than individual user satisfaction. Another issue that has received less attention i...
